Hedge Fund TV Show

Quote from mschey:

The only thing that made Tim come off as an amateur was trading in his house robe, and "looking" like he just rolled out of bed and started trading, with little preparation.

As for his emotion, I don't see a problem with that. Nearly every trader does that once in a while....I'm one who prefers to let out my frustration and cuss at my screen when I'm in a bad losing position. Marty Schwartz does the same thing. On the other side, you have the PTJ type who can take a punishment and not even let it get to him.

Finally, he has made and kept serious money from trading the markets, an accomplish most on here only dream about. For that alone, he deserves some respect.

Yea but I just can't figure out why they fingered him rather than any other daytrader at a chop shop. The fact that he's still playing the L2 and Openbook BS game (which no longer works consistently) is beyond me.

The website has third episode on it.

"Your bigest worry will be fending off marriage proposols" - priceless they way he talked to the woman, no shame.

Even better, captain cheese monster is checking out her behind as they leave the restaurant. Classic!! Ah Wall street never changes, a good rack trumps a nerdy quant any day of the week! God bless America!!:D :D :D

Quote from mschey:

He's 25, and already made and kept a million in the market. That is quite an accomplishment, especially since he did it with a retail account.

I guess we'll have to hook up the ol' webcam on your desk now, to keep the excitement going, eh Mike?

In the trailer for episode 6, Tim says he lost 300K on one long position

he markets himself as a short fund.....

He said he took one long position and this was the outcome,
300K lost in one month.

Thats over 10% loss in one month, he will have to live with that figure for the rest of his management career (im assuming he wont take bigger losses going forward)
