I guess you can go to school for trading stocks and learn to be profitable. yes, a masters in equities trading. futures and forex is a different issue, I think they only have these doctorate programs in switzerland. Why would you like to learn lingo? so you can get a better rate? or so you can come on et and talk trading like the fast money five? I am currently giving classes on dressing properly like a pro trader and proper ettiquette for the young trader. pm me if you are interested classes start at just $499.95!

I don't even know where to start with this. All I am saying is that I want to know what I am looking at when I load up a platform for trading these different markets. When I open up my dealing station to trade Forex, it all makes sense to me. It is the same as 2-3 years ago when I downloaded my first dealing station. I had no idea what anything meant, I was just clicking around trying to figure it out.

The hardest thing to find is something that will teach you the basics and what everything means. There's thousands of books on 'technical analysis' 'the psychology of trading' ect... When I was trying to learn what everything was with forex I stumbled apon http://www.babypips.com and it taught me everything I needed to know in terms of what is what. I want the same type of thing but with different markets. I'm not looking to learn about ettiquette or how to dress... Maybe because I said lingo you thought I meant what stock traders say when they're running around on that crazy floor in new york where all the madness takes place... That's not what I meant. I want to know what symbols are what, what I type in to look at the S&P, what the hell I'm looking at when I get there, everything means when I am looking at it, what different charting apps I can use, etc..

I never said I wanted to learn about the Forex market.. I do fine with Forex. I just want to learn about other markets.

Do you understand now? Or do you still think I want to learn how to dress?

you know pupu about the forex market and why currencies move. Just because you have taken your demo to 10g and have consistent profits(with a cash account), you are not reading between the lines. Not that you realy need to if it works with your cap and you are not looking to put larger amounts of cap at risk. My advice to you, do not be trendy. Stocks and every instrument you can trade all basically carry the same principle, buy low and sell high. Throw yourself in the deep end and learn how to swim. Just like forex. I bought Alchemy of finance by soros when I had started trading(not a great book to learn how to trade) and it was the best thing that happened to my mind. very relevant. It is much more his idea and philosophy on the markets that will serve you since this man is a lover of truth. I am a man of truth and it is the biggest reason that drove me t this game. Money was secondary. Do not take anyones word for anything. Pay attention, real attention, you will be fine. I just found your post a little funny thats all.

It was on here and got removed for whatever reason. Many think Tim had it removed because it was down right pitiful. It worked out to be a 1.5% return compounded over the last 4 years or so.

Somebody who writes and thinks exactly like Sise contacted him, seemingly angered by his positive review of my book. So, let me just address some concerns:

I love how this person says I'm representing myself as a master trader when I've repeatedly stated that I don't think I'm a great trader, only a good trader. The book's strongest points are to teach through my mistakes (what a crazy concept!)

I am bringing honesty to the table because I lay out EVERYTHING in the book. I'd post all my audits online, but thanks to industry regs, that's not possible.

When you have 3 solid up years and 1 solid down year, of course your 4 year compunded returns aren't going to be incredible. You take risks, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose---they key is staying in the game and being able to take advantage of opportunities as they arise.

And, again, the title is not "The American Hedge Fund", it's "An American Hedge Fund"--I don't claim to be anything more than just one example of a hedge fund. Definitely not the biggest, nor the best, but I will be the most open.
 
I emailed him, so what? I was honestly curious what value he found in your book. His post about your book was a change of tone and clearly a bit negative you idiot. Yeah, never said you were a great trader, only implied:

Too much free time....luckily I don't have to work like some dogs and can read shit on the net and talk shit all day. Bad habit but makes me laugh and not sure there's much wrong with that. Beets writing books about not making money and instead making money in my opinion.

Not jealous at all...even you have to admit Tim is a douche bag and it's funny to pick on him. :D
 
just ridiculous that you stalk all his posts and write emails to people, and are just perpetuating his marketing, every time i see this thread at the top of the list on the home page. reminds me of the book every time.
