I don't know about best but the strongest coffee I've had was the Aged Sumatra coffee made for espresso machines (Peet's Coffee). Turkish coffee is very strong & bitter as well -- its not really coffee it is actually espresso. Its very popular all over the middle east especially in Iran & Afghanistan.
