I would argue that your semantics has blurred your perception. I would argue that your lack of evidence could be based upon lack of perception, or lack of interpretation. I would argue that just because you have not developed the tools needed for perception and interpretation does not indicate that there not realms out there to be explored.

what value is there in believing in undetectable things? does it fill some need in your life to believe there are undetectable spirits flying around?
science makes observations and then attempts to answer why. it does not concern itself with undetectable things based on human emotions.
the supernatual is the playground of the scam artists. dream up some concept and convince enough people that it is real and you have a ready market of sheep to fleece.

Now before you come with apples and oranges, we are only now beginning to understand the space around us. I fail to comprehend how if we so primitive in this aspect that we could possibly say that there is nothing beyond our senses. I am not a mystic per se, but it would be foolish to say that nothing exists outside of my senses, or the senses of of any others just because we have not found it yet. This is a statement coming from a species who cannot yet get to our next door planet.

Think about that for a moment.

We are sure that what is here is all there is, and we cannot go next door, in an astronomical sense. Really?

Hubris, pure and simple.
