Healthcare bill will be repealed in the next Republican administration?

Quote from CaptainObvious:

And what we have here is a perfect illustration of what happens...we're talking about race instead of the issues. At the end of the day the questions need to be answered regardless of who is doing the asking. So if someone asks, how does all this crap get paid for, that question needs to be addressed openly and honestly, something we've yet to see or hear. Openly and honestly being the operative words. No smoke and mirrors, no government math, no shell games...the truth. The Dems cannot claim the moral high ground while ignoring the truth. And if the guy asking that question is wearing a f'n white hood, the question still needs to be answered, because it's a legitimate question.

Nailed it.

I was under the impression that the questions have been, and continue to be, addressed. Perhaps those hoods are soundproof?

Those questions stopped being addressed when madame Pelosi whipped her flock into cramming the bill down the throats of Americans while while 2/3 of the American people (which HAD to include a lot of Democrat supporters, being 2/3 and all) hated it.

Meanwhile, Gadfly, the Democrats didn't even read the bill they passed. Madame Pelosi herself said that they have to pass the bill to find out what's in it. The president didn't read the bill.

They didn't read it. They didn't consider it. How could they possibly answer questions or address concerns about it?

Quote from Ricter:

Aren't you, by your own admission, relatively new to P&R? Why are using renaming insults already?

What are you talking about?

I'm not new, btw. I just don't come by often.

"Cramming down throats." That's a FOX thing and a Republican thing, as Stewart so aptly showed with numerous clips of parroting heads time and again. And this from a self-proclaimed "non-Republican," Angrycat?

And let us be clear. Obama's principal election campaign platform was health care reform, and he was elected into office. THAT was the poll that counted. Further, what he originally envisioned was a lot tighter than the HCR we are now discussing. So, if anything, the will of the people, based on election results, suggests that they want more substantial HCR. Is that what you are talking about?

Save yourself some annoyance. Put Ricter on ignore.. he's outed himself as a brain-dead Leftist.

FOX also uses the word "and". Any time you say "and", you're using a Foxism, Gabfly.

"Cramming down the throats" is also Cato, Libertarian blogs and ohh...my buddy. My buddy, the leftist who thought Obama was the messiah and was building shrines to him (gag. shrines to a politician). The cramming down of this thing when the majority is so against it is not the vision he had of him.

"And let me be clear". Love the Obamism. Will we be treated to "what I don't want is..." next?

Fine. Reform health care. Don't fuck it up. He didn't run on a "I'm going to fuck up health care so bad and shove the IRS so far up you ass you'll go cross-eyed" platform did he? No. I don't remember that.

There are many many better ways to extend coverage to people who are getting screwed by the half-socialized, half fucked up system he had. There were much better ways to run medicaid and medicare. But, none of that was studied. Forget what Republicans wanted (some okay, but mostly stupid ideas from them), they didn't study a single other health care system.

If Obama had passed a piece of legislation that was going to actually reform rather than completely destroy the remaining good things in the HC system we had, I'd be delighted. And so would most people. He had a chance.

Face it Gabfly, as much as you would love to make this about Reps vs. Dems and racism, Americans really only give a shit about their own lives. Raising kids, spending time with friends, looking forward to the good days ahead of them. They don't in the end give a crap if Obama is black or white or a Democrat.

And the fact that he and this congress have flouted the will of the people is why he and congress have such low approval ratings.

You're just obfuscating.
