Health insurance

Quote from fxRichard:

I use NASE (National Association of the Self Employed) they offer Mega Life and Health. I found they were about half the cost of Blue Cross Blue Shield with comparable service. I have used them for 1-2 years now with no problems whatsoever.
A lot of people are unhappy with them ...

healthy male here in 25-34 range. I pay $120 a month with Humana.

no problems so far.

Is that a group plan or high deductible, who administers this?
This must be catastrophic coverage only.

He's paying too much. I'm WAY older and I was paying less with an HSA. PLus I had the added benefit of contributing to a tax deferred savings account that I can withdraw when I reach 65, just like an IRA.

PS. I just went to ehealthins.com and got 3 quotes for under $60 for someone his age.

Hi all,

Those of you who trade full time and don't have spouses with health insurance, what have you done to get insurance? Do you buy into the group plans? Any other ideas?

Thanks for any advice...

Check out www.ehealthinsurance.com.

That website suggested (after I filled out long questionaire) AETNA, which approved me for a nice PPO plan. I had several choices but it's a nice service because you can compare diff. insurers side-by-side.

GL!
