BTW,I pay Taxes too and I don't mind my tax dollars helping my fellow citizen.I do have a problem with my tax dollars going to Wars ,BA,GS,AIG ,Haliburton,black water etc.Thats why I vote Democrat

Here is the more important issue.

From Article I section 9- Limits on Congress:
"No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed."

Attainder
attainder n. The loss of all civil rights by a person sentenced for a serious crime. [< OFr. attaindre, to convict] Source: AHD

In the context of the Constitution, a Bill of Attainder is meant to mean a bill that has a negative effect on a single person or group (for example, a fine or term of imprisonment). Originally, a Bill of Attainder sentenced an individual to death, though this detail is no longer required to have an enactment be ruled a Bill of Attainder.

So if insurance is mandatory in the bill being voted on tomorrow, and the uninsured who refuse the govt version of it can be fined or imprisoned, then it seems to me that is a bill of attainder and unconstitutional.

Also, if all u really want is to be able to purchase health insurance, then I can agree that something needs to be done about that. This bill however is not the answer and will undoubtedly have a severely detrimental impact on our nation. By any honest and objective measure the costs of it both financially and to our freedom are not worth covering the 10% of the uninsured pop.

I know it would be hard for you conservatives to believe,but maybe our founding fathers were more liberal then you want to believe.They wrote in their own words that the congress is to provide for the welfare/health, happiness, prosperity and well-being of the country

We desperately need reform. Of course, the sort of reform we need is well beyond the understanding of your typical voter who is particularly challenged just to find his proper polling place. So there's no way any politician is going to offer it, so we're not going to get it, so health care is only going to get worse and/or more expensive.

MAN, I wish voters would grow just two brain cells to rub together!

Wanna make health care affordable? The solution is obvious, well tested and has a crapload of historical evidence to prove it works and everything else does not. The fact that it is not even being (seriously) considered is a huge mountain of evidence that we no longer are interested in paying our own way, but are delighted to sacrifice anybody else for our current benefit. This "anybody else" includes our future selves and our descendants.
