We all won't be day traders for much longer. Once the "Furor" Obama get's his financial system overhaul passed, day trading/speculating will be a thing of the past. Of course, we need to have speculation in the markets, but don't try telling that to the Communist -in- Chief. This will mean more job losses, and less revenue coming in to pay for this dictator's health care plan. He will then break more of his campaign promises and raise federal tax rates across the board, not just for those that make more than 250k per year. And with the Demo'craps' now holding a 60 seat senate majority, America is truly fucked.

I've read and heard people for years say what is going to happen in the future, all the way back to Carter, yet few of those have made a dime on their predictions. If you really believe what you wrote then there is some way to profit from what will happen, figure it out put your money down and enjoy your rewards.

Massachusetts has the country's only universal system and I think a single young person is about $250/mo for coverage. It is mandatory but it is subsidized a bit.
Just a statement of fact, no politics: Massachusetts is going broke, they've raised sales taxes, all fees, gasoline taxes and all tolls on all roads in an effort to pay for this "universal" care.
Bottom line: it is VERY expensive for a state or an individual or a company.

With everyone focused on paying for health care, the price will continue to go up. A shift in focus needs to be done. The focus should be on the supply of health care.
1. Mandatory first aid and basic "mommy care" medical training in high school.
2. Rank doctors by Moodys AAA-BBB where BBB cannot be sued.
3. Have doctors and hospitals post their fees for services so that consumers can price compare. Insurance companies already know what is reasonable and ordinary but walk in folks get billed with fantasy rates.
4. There should be an implied warrenty on medical services where medical care won't be re-embursed unless it is successful.

$ 3 MM in coverage is not enough, if you have an extended illness or need extensive hospitalization. They key to good coverage is how much you are covered for, for catastrophic reasons. Anyone, whether single or with family, should have an uncapped, unlimited hospitalization plan. Everything else - deductibles, dental, prescriptions, etc., is secondary.
