Head of COVID response for UCSF's ER dept.: 'I have not intubated a single COVID patient'

Tuesday saw a new pandemic high for covid hospitalizations. That's not a staff shortage problem.

Could you provide the source for this? I'd just like to see if it is hospitalizations with COVID or from.

What a crying shame for you that it will never happen. Weeping and gnashing of teeth in your future :(

So sorry this happened to you.

Happening widely across Europe... where the anti-vaxxers are weeping and gnashing their teeth.

We are just one deadly variant away from it happening in the U.S.

Seeing that most states don't report on "with Covid" or 'from Covid" -- how would you determine this. Some backward states like Florida don't even report from state government any Covid hospitalization data.

Covid-19 hospitalizations reach record high, HHS data shows

And this differentiation of "from Covid' and "with Covid" being pushed by anti-vax Covid-deniers is really reaching a new level of stupid. I have a neighbor who was original hospitalized for an infection of their recently amputated toes -- they were found to also have Covid (i.e. "with Covid"). They would have been out of the hospital in 24 hours if the toes were the only issue -- but the Covid with breathing problems had them in the hospital for over a week (as their primary medical issue). This is a typical example of "with Covid".
