Quote from traderNik:
Wow, you sure love to make shit up, don't you? No surprise, it's what extremists do when their 'logic' is hammered into the ground.
1) I am on record here as saying that America has been the greatest country on the planet for the past century and the bastion of freedom for the world.
I based my opinion on the comments you have made in this thread. I did not review your 5200+ posts.
2. I made no statement about American concerns re: immigration. Can you provide a link to support that lie? What I said was that Noonan's comments about the President vis-a-vis illegal immigration are a bunch of horseshit. It's unreal that you can't seem to grasp this very simple concept... or maybe it isn't, come to think of it.
You are inferring that this is not a valid point to bring up in the article. You stated the following:
I'm basing my comments on the idiotic content of the article you quoted. For example, Noonan describes
"...his day-to-day indifference to the views and hopes of the majority of voters regarding illegal immigration".
The fact IS that illegal immigration is an important issue, and Obama has been indifferent to the views of the vast majority of Americans.
3. Are you really so dense that you don't understand how Canadians would be concerned about what's happening in the U.S., the world leader in economic output, the world's biggest military, our biggest trading partner, our nearest neighbour, and the country where the majority of the world's population would give their left nut to emigrate to? Can you just clarify specifically that you don't understand this?
You are an IDIOT. I brought this point up after you called me an 'ugly American.' You could make the 'ugly American' case (a weak one) if I had stated how Canada should handle its internal affairs and politics.
4. 'Ugly American' is a phrase which has come to mean to U.S. travellers who go outside the US but think that everything should be just like it is on Main Street, Anytown, U.S.A. It describes Americans who have blinders on. I think this describes you rather aptly, considering you can't seem to understand the difference between a comment on illegal immigration in the U.S., and a critique of a comment on illegal immigration in the U.S.
IDIOT, please see number 4. You have the blinders on. You commented on a statement on the importance of the views of the vast majority (80%+) of Americans on immigration. You think that the USA should be just like Main Street, Any Town, Canada.
5. I ask you again, why don't you post under your usual username? Afraid?
I do not have another user name dumb shit. Is this the tactic you use when you have clearly lost an argument?
Thanks
