Kind of like the AV issue. I've used registry cleaners which "cleaned" files they weren't supposed to, yet lots of statements about cleaners being necessary... ???

Thanks again Scat.
In the past, I have used Registry cleaning software and such.
Is that stuff OK to use or should I avoid it?
Most home routers can be accessed from any computer physically connected to the network. You can try the following default IP addresses from your browser:
192.168.0.1
192.168.1.1
192.168.2.1
One of those should get you to a login screen. Some routers have their address and initial username/password on the bottom. Many don't. You can probably do a web search for the user manual to find the default username/password. A lot of people never changed them.
