Have you used dbphoenix's teachings to become a successful trader?

The strict criteria of a trading room which I'm sure most don't meet

I don't really think it has to be that strict. Obviously in an ideal world, it would have a voice function etc. But i've been in trading rooms without that and was still able to theoretically get the same price as the person calling the trade using text.
Hell, lots of people are brave enough to post real time trades on this forum. Lots of guys in the ESjournal, and I even noticed an 'apprentice' posting his NQ trades live in his journal.
Obviously one can try to play tricks and delete posts and edit things to give the impression of a better performance, but it really is easily spotted if one posts a decent number of trades.

Nobody is under any obligation to make actual/clear 'calls' at someones request, but it's the only way to see whether someone is actually able to do what they claim to be able to do (as of course anyone can mark up nice, annotated charts at the end of the day)

ND does not trade like you at all, and nobody else uses the same concepts... they are mostly trading patterns. Nobody talks about behavior. So I think if I'm going to learn to trade the Wyckoff way and your interpretation, your advice would be most applicable.

You might claim that I'm blowing them off, but they were just taking me in different directions. In this case, you are blowing me off.... which is fine, but its how I see it. (although of course my observation skills are lacking so I might not even be seeing this properly! LOL)

I would have loved to see some real time trading in action, very much like the opportunity that 40D's friend had, but alas, that opportunity was never available, and I know that trading rooms for the most part would be ill advised, so I'm not sure why you are suggesting this if you really do want to see people succeed. (you even had a write up last year about the strict criteria of a trading room which I'm sure most don't meet)

That ND character is in the same league as DB, producing thousands of pages of drivel for years and years and nothing to show for. Why do you think they like to pat each other on the back so much?

He and the like will give you the same answers over and over again:
You haven't studied enough
You're missing the context.
You have mental issues.

And your trading plan is posted where?

Give me ONE valid reason why I would post that for free on the internet, thereby deluting my edge and allow people, with whom I have no affillation, like you, to benefit from my work.

All over this board i read remarks like "I can't disclose my secret system, otherwise it will lose it's edge." Bullshit! It's time you bozos got it under your skull that there will always be enough losers in the market to take money from. Why the hell do you think 95 % of all futuretraders loses money? You giving away your holy grail isn't going to change that. Progress is made by sharing experiences and knowledge. If nobody was willing to do so, we would still be living in caves.

Lately a lot of people are having a hard time. I don't mean to piss anybody off, the money is just there for the taking. take a look at the attached chart. Plotted are a stochastic (7,4,10), bollinger bands (8, 1.8) and donchian channel. here's the setup, buy pullbacks to the opposite bollinger band and the donchian channel within the trend. The trend is determined by the slow stochastic. exit at a profit of 2 pts. Friday this setup would have given you 14 pts in 2 hrs of chop, in a period that i picked at random. With some discretion even more protible trades could have been taken. this is a very simple system, that a kid of 12 can trade. so ask yourself, why can't you?

Great job, you dug up a couple of posts I made ten years ago when I started out as a trader. Somehow the way I trade and the instruments I trade changed over the course of ten years. How odd. As for the last reason I mentioned not to share anything, you and a couple of other jackasses couldn't have illustrated it more clearly. Now are going to answer my question? Apparently not.

And you developed this fantastic money-making system that just rakes it in. Which is why you're so happy and contented.

:)
