Hauweii arrest and US-CHINA trade talks

How can kudlow or American politicians say that the arrest or prosecution of China's top tech company not political and won't affect trade talks?

Trade is about companies selling to foreign markets.

Now if the US blocks Hauweii from selling it's products in the US and coercion it's allies to not buy from Hauweii, that is trade embargo. or trade sanction.

It's called market manipulation or market collusion to prevent competition and WTO says it's illegal. Countries cannot restrict foreign competition under wto rules with gov't bans etc . Tarriffs is fair but not bans just because it's a 'foreign' company. A ban is worse than tariffs. With tariffs, price is higher but you still have access to the market

IMO, unless there is proof or technical evidence Hauweii products are 'defective' or bad, this ban is just an attempt by 'gov't' to restrict competition is empitome of anti-free trade and violating WTO 'rules' or the goal of the world trade organiztion. or 'free markets' where anyone can enter the 'market' whether it's foreign, large or small etc.

It seems the Trump isn't commenting and Kudlow and politicians seem to avoid commenting for fear of being interfering with corrupt legal proceeding which is 'politically motivated' and media propaganda and rumors rather than facts that it's 5G equipment is 'flawed' or 'defective'. or free enterprise, it's was free enterprise in China and free enterprise that made this country great. small companies like Microsoft, small companies like google etc can enter into markets with better products, the benefit is the consumer or the public.

A trade war would reduce GDP or production for both countries and huge job losses in Hauweii, the company employs 100,000 people. more than GM or Microsoft or Apple so it's large company that China won't allow to fail. An insult to the country and Americans want to talk 'fair trade'

History has shown that trade embargos, sanctions etc are the reason for conflict or war. Countries invade other countries for valuable resources or trade routes.

You may have forgotten to mention the Hauweii ban is a result of it being a security threat, you must full well know it is about a Hauweii and China Govt threat re eavesdropping on foreign entities.
China has a reputation for stealing and the fact China continually wishes to alter its borders on Chinese sanctioned maps (South China Sea as just one example).
The West was once tolerant of China, unfortunately for them they can no longer game the system with a sympathetic West turning a blind eye.
 
LONDON (Reuters) - The West needs to understand that the challenge of China’s technological revolution runs much deeper than Huawei’s row with the United States over intellectual property theft and state espionage, one of Britain’s top spies said.

Huawei, the world’s biggest producer of telecoms equipment, is under intense scrutiny after the United States told allies not to use its technology because of fears it could be a vehicle for Chinese spy operations.

Jeremy Fleming, the head of Britain’s Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), said the incredible rate of technological change was unleashing unprecedented uncertainty, instability and risk.

“The strategic challenge of China’s place in the era of globalized technology is much bigger than just one telecommunications equipment company,” Fleming, one of Britain’s top three spies, said in Singapore.

“It’s a first order strategic challenge for us all,” he said. “We have to understand the opportunities and threats from China’s technological offer.”

GCHQ is Britain’s main eavesdropping agency and has a close relationship with the U.S. National Security Agency as well as with the eavesdropping agencies of Australia, Canada and New Zealand in a consortium called “Five Eyes”.

In what some have compared to the Cold War arms race, the United States is worried that 5G dominance would give any global competitor such as China an advantage Washington is not ready to accept.

5G, which will offer much faster data speeds and become the foundation stone of many industries and networks, is a revolutionary technology, Fleming said.

“5G is going to be one of the most important and impactful technologies of this or any era,” he said, adding that he wanted a diverse supplier market.

“A market consolidated to such an extent that there are only a tiny number of viable options will not make for good cyber security. That’s regardless of whether those options are Western, Chinese, or from somewhere else,” Fleming said.

Huawei Chairman Guo Ping on Sunday reiterated his company’s position that it has never and would never allow any country to spy through its equipment.

Guo said the United States did not represent the whole world and called for equipment makers, network operators and governments to work together to devise trustworthy standards to manage cyber security risks.

This is fair comment on trading, a trade war. China won't be buying any US bonds. I see a lot anti-China borderline racist comments and ultra-right wing talk.

you will see even anti-American talk in China, if Americans keep with the anti-China rhetoric.
 
it's market manipulation by the gov't. like this market is controlled by the gov't. the gov't controls the federal reserve and market. why you think the market is here. market collusion, market coercion ,market manipulation can work against you.

then it comes hate talk. Americans have a history trying to overthrow regimes that they see as 'threat' americans are a threat to world peace. okay with your military industrial complex, the army Trump try to suck up to in his speech.

Venuezuela economic collapse was a direct result of American plan to destroy it's economy via economic sanctions etc. and trying to do that with Iran and now China. I mean. Who do you Americans think you are.

And with is with NATO, adding more nations. to some block all the nato nations are obligated to buy American weapons at 'rip off prices.' Why would anyone join NATO for?
 
The American gov't media 'propaganda' is sure working. America used to be great. now it's military state and 'police state'. not much different from China. you think the NSA isn't spying on Americans. since 9/11 americans have no privacy. Microsoft gives the gov't the backdoor to everything and all the ISP are agents of the gov't and who is the guy who told people what everybody already knows. the state or gov't spies on it's on citizens? there is no privacy for criminal activity such as terrorist activity, gang activity. etc.

same with your trades and p/l and taxes, there is no privacy. it's sold.
