I think his supporters accept that and in fact relish it. My question however goes to the wisdom of mocking an attractive woman's looks, particularly a women you boinked. This was a rare opportunity for him to choose the high road and graciously pocket a win.
His insulting nickname routine has really damaged a lot of other pols, but that happened because there was undeniable truth in them, eg, Low Energy Jeb, Crooked Hillary, Little Marco. People liked the names because they tend to despise pols. I don't think the public at large despises Stormy. At worst she is a immoral opportunist, which is not bad compared to most pols. With Stormy, he was also somewhat handicapped because the apt nicknames would not be PG. Or even R.
