Socialism usually isn't bad for the wealthy. It's bad for the middle class and it's bad for anybody collecting a paycheck. People that collect a paycheck are easy to tax. You know where to find them and you can insert yourself into their income stream such that you get the money out of them before they get it themselves. Self employed people are harder to tax. They can have more complex tax returns, they can be paid off the books, etc. The wealthy are harder yet to tax because they can operate internationally.
