Has anyone passed Series 57 recently?

I failed twice. Does it mean I'm retarded?

I used the Knopman material and passed.

I am new to the industry and have not taken any other FINRA exams. Here's what I recommend:

Read the book twice.
Do at least 3000 practice questions (yes 3000).
Score in the 90's on full length practice exams.
Take the "Benchmark Exam" two or three times.
Review the "Knopman Notes" in the book.

Read through the "Additional Points of Reference" emails several times. They have info not covered in the book or practice questions.

Remember, this is coming from someone with no previous experience or education in the financial industry. And I BARELY passed.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

One thing ive noticed with all these financial license tests, is if you just keep repeating the questions over and over at the end of the chapters, you will notice a pattern of certain concepts they really want you to know, they will ask you the same question in like 10 different ways, and when you see that you know its something they definitely want you knowing. Generally speaking the question on the test at the end ends up just being a remix of the ones they repeated over and over in the text book, maybe stated a little differently.

I just studied by doing the questions online over and over and over until i had them all practically memorised. Ended up getting an 89 on the S7 like that and only opened my book about 2 weeks before the exam, but i had traded for 5 years before i wrote it so i knew alot of it.

I did that. I read the book just once then went to exams.
And yes, you see the pattern of questions, concepts that they want you to know.
Then I went back to the textbook and study those concepts.
I was getting really high scores on Knopman online practice test.

However on real exam, most of the concepts knopman wants you to know is not tested.
That's why I'm looking for another source of material.
From what I hear S57 is pretty new and none of the companies have complete guide.

I just took my exam after studying with STC daily for about 6 hrs a day for a month; scored over 90% on all my practice exams and failed. I do not feel like the majority of the material I studied was on the exam. Stc does not properly prepare you for this test at all. I purchased Knopman for hopefully better results. Do not rely on just stc

Are your "really high" scores on practice tests in the mid/ hi 90`s consistently?

That`s the key... you need to score mid/ hi 90`s consistently... otherwise you`re not ready!
