Quote from Gabfly1:
You're obfuscating again. Yes, the majority voted for Obama. I do not refer to them.
I do not even refer to those people who did not vote for Obama because of his political goals and principles. I may disagree with those people, however, I do not refer to them.
Rather, I refer to ALL of the remaining birthers. Every last one.
I refer to most of the Tea Partyers. Where were they when Bush was mortgaging their children's future with a voluntary war (Iraq) and simultaneous tax cuts for the rich? It's outright hypocrisy on the part of those Tea Partyers who are Republican and who praised Bush. And whenever I encounter hypocrisy, my spidey senses start tingling.
I refer to the surge in "open carry" heroes, who are essentially thumbing their noses at every thinking person. Where were they in such numbers when pro-gun Bush was at the helm? Why now? I think we both know why. If memory serves, they weren't as vocal during the Clinton years.
Despite my low opinion of her, I refer to Palin because she is the Tea Party's cupcake. And I once again refer you to those earlier hate-filled Palin rallies. Very little has changed. Fred can put on a different hat, but he's still Fred.
1) Non sequitur. Let's see if you can figure out why. Hint: what platform promises by McCain would have benefited the contingent to which you refer? Second hint: how did Palin's rowdier supporters characterize Obama? If you were of similar pigmentation, would that give you comfort?Quote from Index piker:
1) Are you equally disgusted by those that voted for o just because he had the right skin tone?
2) Your spidey senses are more likely either DM or heavy metal poisoning. Bush had lots of criticism from conservative pundits and public sentiment.
3) Why would supporters of the 2nd amendment demonstrate an administration viewed as pro 2nd amendment? Evidently common sense eludes your grasp and confuses you.
Not obfuscating. Clarifying. Remember the signs, placards and slogans before they were reigned in? Remember how no one in the crowds bothered to complain about them? As I noted earlier, Fred may be wearing a different hat now, but he's still Fred.Quote from phenomena:
...You are the one who's obfuscating by trying to act like most of the Tea party crowd are racists, and that their dissatisfaction of Obama is based on the fact that he is black...

2) As kut2k2 adroitly pointed out, those who opposed Bush called for his impeachment, as compared to suggestions of armed rebellion and worse.
3) By your argument, those "open carry" heroes should also have been out in force during the Clinton years.
4)What else you got?
1) Yes, people make decisions based on what will likely improve their lives. That is what most of them did. That Obama is black was obviously a bonus for the black community. And while some blacks might have understandably voted for Obama even if Obama's platform was identical to that of McCain, the fact is that the platforms were different and one was better. I doubt blacks would have voted for Obama if his platform have been worse than McCain's.Quote from Index piker:
1) I don't make political decisions based on skin color or race.
2)Who's calling for armed rebellion because o is non-white? or any other reason for that matter?
3) You are simply stupid to think clinton was not protested by supporters of the 2nd amendment and yes ammo sales went up
where I lived.
4) Common sense, rational arguments, citizen interest : all of which you lack so bloviate ever onward my comedic relief friend.
