Has Anyone Been Able to Make Any Money on Dan Zanger's Picks?

I don't think he did well because of the bull market (he also did very well in 2004-2005). He's an incredible trader there is no doubt in my mind. The only thing that happened is that he got super-rich and doesn't care about his newsletter anymore. Thanksfully there are others with similar styles that took his place.

What he should do to retain his self-respect is to shut down his site not because he is not good enough, he is, but rather, because he will not give his newsletter the time it needs. I'd still give him money to invest in a heartbeat if he accepted it. I think he's a great trader, he's just turned into a lousy/lazy newsletter writer for the last year or two.... but then when you're sitting on 40 mil, why would you even bother spitting out a newsletter every night for 200 people.... just not worth it in my opinion.

As per trading -- he's probably one of the best traders in the last 20 years. Again, this doesn't mean anything in terms of his newsletter, but you cannot equate the two.

dan zanger is one the few no bs traders around. the newsletter is around $60, and is a great education toool. anyone who is studying to be a intermediate to position trader, needs to register for a free trial and read his archives like a book.

those who think he is useless, are probably losing traders who are still searching for some magical stochastics crossover to help then make $$$$$$$$$$.

open your eyes and see what real trading is about... price action, volume, trendlines, some moving avg's ..........thats it. once u realize this, zanger is the place to learn. after a while you will no longer need his help and u will become a profitable, self sufficient trader.

doing this involves a lot of hard work and dedication. the losers who complain about dan, are the same ones signing up for every stock picking service there is. they beg for profitable stock picks to be handed to them on a silver platter, before doing the work themselves.

I came back to this thread because I am honorable.

Zanger nailed RIM. He recommended it at $70 or $72.

I'm sure there are many he recommended that didn't behave as expected.

Also, don't forget it has been a bull market.

Not taking credit away from this guy but if there is a holy grail newsletter out there I have not seen it, and I have seen Zanders.

I had never heard about Dan Zanger until now. Having looked at his website: http://www.mrswing.com/beans/dan/index.html I gotta say he is the real deal. A genuine guy, has good credentials, and is very straightforward and I don't feel he's trying to rip people off. His top 10 trading rules and how the market works was a really good read.

Here is his website:

And here is an article about his trading:

The Holy Grail to Investing.

Developed multiple arbitrages for the financial markets. Arbitrages that produce just a few percent a year, to arbitrages that produce over 30 percent a year.

In 2001 i started developing, as of now, a dozen arbitrages. I lock in an X percentage, and Y time later, i close out the arbitrage. Over 30%/yr.

Risk-Free Investing is not only possible, but in abundance. Just that people are told and taught that it is impossible. No risk has been in front of all, but not seen.

The market is unlimited.

The Ultimate business solution that can be offered.

Say one can guarantee a return on investment of 40% a year, then a business could offer their product or service for free.

Lets say i had a solar company, and that company offers Alternative energy to both private and business sector's, then we end up with an interesting business solution.

Well, if i have a cost of $10,000 to install a solar system on a building, and able to sell the install for $20,000, i have $10,000 to invest(40% a year). The purchaser then finances the install over a period of time. I just keep investing the profit till the end of the payment schedule. Thus, the buyer never makes a payment, and gets the product at no cost.

I've been getting his free trial subscription, but everything he recommends seems to be aweful.

Has this been the case for a while?

I have asked for a free trial, but I have received anything yet. Maybe Dan Zanger is on holiday?
