Also I don't care too much abt guns but what is the crime rate among hunting communities in the US ? Norway and Finland are two countries serious abt hunting, people don't carry gun for self defense agains humans AFAIK. Even carrying pepper spray is illegal in Finland, quite possibly in Norway as well.

Autos are pretty much heavily regulated and general ownership is difficult at best. Regarding semis...ask a business owner in an area seeing an increase in flash mobs, or ask a homeowner who lives in a gang infested neighborhood, or ask a farmer who lives in a remote area where law enforcement will take what might seem like a lifetime. I've read that in parts of Detroit LE states you are on your own. Ask those residents.

I appreciate you honesty, but as I've stated previously on this issue, and many times, you or others simply cannot know what each self-defense issue might call for.

I won't address the issue of ownership to prevent tyranny since we've seen how power hungry politicians have figured out how to delete the retail ammo supplies. No need to disarm. Guns are useless without ammo.

Gun control can indeed work, but it must start with an absolute zero and then allow various forms of guns from that point (for defense, hunting, etc), just like in court rooms and airplanes.

It cannot work when you already have millions upon millions of weapons in circulation. It will never, ever work because of that. So it is a pointless discussion.

You can google it, Luxembourg murder rate appears like one fourth of the one mentionned in the study, though for some reason Luxembourg city has a high murder rate for a european coty

Study says it was the rate in 2002. I too was shocked by their murder rate. Wikipedia shows it at 2.5 for 2010 which would stil leave it third on the list.
