Joe Biden is an accused rapist and his own daughter wrote in her diary that he was inappropriate with her and it may have led to her drug problems.

It's difficult to imagine him actually resigning. That would very much be him admitting he does not have the physical or mental capabilities to get through a lousy 6 months, when less than a week ago he and his supporters were saying he is good for another 4 years
. If he goes it'll be dropping out IMO. That's cleaner for him and his reputation. Then the food fight begins. Do they throw Kamala to the dogs and sacrifice the election, or try an convince a real contender to give it a run on a last minute campaign. I would think that would be a tough sell to a serious candidate.

I have no idea if this is possible according to the state/convention rules... but the best way out for the Dems is to flip the ticket; Harris/Biden 2024. They'll probably lose anyway but at least it becomes a horse race and they keep their dignity.
