This kind of thinking is why crypto is doomed.
OMG some people boughts stocks and lost money so everyone should put it all in Bitcoin! /sarc
Serious people would have told you buying FANG stocks skews heavily towards risk.
Seirous people would also be looking at Bitcoin's weaknesses and build a stronger, better featured and less volatile product.
Alas, crypto is all FOMO get rich quick nonsense.
If this kind of thinking made any sense, pension funds would be putting everything down on lottery tickets.
The likelihood of an event occurring is kind of important.
Can you imagine this guy walking into a casino.. "OMG I could make so much money, put it all on 5!"
Did you come to that conclusion in the same manner that you arrived at a valuation for Bitcoin?BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH
Let me live rent-free in your useless mind

Not so: Pension funds should invest in very conservative vehicles, not in new, & thus more risky areas. Why is that hard to believe? The point is to invest the money in up-and-coming areas so a return can be generated. Neither of the funds had any exposure to FTX so they are fine.
The fund mentioned was quoted in a separate article a little earlier this year as being up 350% overall on their crypto investments even in the face of a 50% downturn this year, and that's primarily because they have been investing a small portion of pension funds in cryptos for over five years already. Not so: Pension funds should invest in very conservative vehicles, not in new, & thus more risky areas.
Just think of where they could be if their portfolio managers had some risk control in place. The fund mentioned was quoted in a separate article a little earlier this year as being up 350% overall on their crypto investments even in the face of a 50% downturn this year, and that's primarily because they have been investing a small portion of pension funds in cryptos for over five years already.
