Yes, I hope so too... the main thing, for the moment, is for Khatemi to at least keep the fundamentalist Mullah's on a tight leash... Khatemi is not perfect but at least he is more progressive than the alternatives...

Things in Iran can change in one of two ways:
1) an American attack
2) a further loosening up in the mindset of Khatemi, leading to greater liberalization in all facets of Iranian life...
