Thanks for the suggestion. STW looks good. Just a question about the contract months you trade. Do you trade the near month contracts or just the quarterly contracts? Also, when do you normally roll to the next contract month?

I trade the near months, those are the ones w/ liquidity. I roll over to the next month on the morning (Asian) of the last trading day of the current month contract. Kiwi_trader gave me that advice a while back and it was spot-on.

Sometimes I forget to roll over and I get confused by the crazy spreads, and then I realize it's expiration day. :eek:

Hey Filter_Sweep, if you see this, what is the margin now to trade the Taiwan futures contract (STW) on the SGX exchange through IB.

It's a lot higher now, about $3250 I believe, and IB has temporarily suspended intraday margins.

I'm looking forward to when the VIX gets below 30 again so IB will bring daytrade margins back (I assume that's what drives the restriction). Unfortunately it doesn't look like that will happen for a while.

Interesting thread. If possible could you post any new charts? It would be interesting to see some recent moves considering all the volatility recently.

is there any other futures broker to trade these products, other than ib?

myrius, amp, velocity, etc all domestic right besides interest rate, forex, etc,


but .hsi = ib right?
