Hammertrade

I am a little confused...I have been using Marketspeed by Harrisdirect, which was acquired by E Trade. I am not very excited about it....Hammertrade Software looks great from the ad. Is there a demo I could test out? Could someone explain to me if it is a broker, or just software or both. And if possible, what are the costs associated with it? Data, commissions etc...

Hammertrade is used by Assent, one of the bigger, more well known professional trading firms. I don't know if it's offered elsewhere. I use it and am happy with it. Fast, customizable, stable.

They also have a product called Anvil which I think more people are using now than Hammer.
