"How did Anek made 100 grand today?" probably deserves a mention in the HALL OF FAME and HALL OF SHAME based on the last 10-20 pages of posts, though I suppose it is a 'standout' thread.

I thought it might be a win-win to share info. The cynics were right though.

If this thread is not a runner we might as kill it. Gve it a few more days, if nothing forthcoming moderators please close the thread...
 
Without tooting my own horn too much, the longshot thread was extremely profitable for those that followed it. The education was that there's a bunch of money to be made in those so called high risk stocks, which are actually no more risky that the "real" market that most people have been losing their asses on. The whole market is one big scam P&D, and the sooner you realize that, the sooner you'll make some money. Gave up a long time ago trying to convince the Mod's of that reality. Too bad really, cause it was fun and profitable. Still is!

I'll take a look. Not sure you can really nominate your own thread but 118 pages long, it obviously generated some interest. What's the basic idea behind the stock picking? Is there a common theme - getting on board a strong chart with some positive fundamentals (O'Neil CANSLIM?), purely technical (Darvas?) or looking for undervalued businesses (Buffett)?

Was it long only or did you discuss shorting stocks also? I notice the thread pretty much ended before the Bear/Lehman failures.

All illiquid stocks I presume, bit surprised Mods stopped the thread after all the ET mud slinging that goes on around this place.
