I don't worry about a warm tropical earth, what I worry about is what is in the historical record and that is an ice-ball earth.

If the Atlantic Conveyor is ever significantly interrupted the poles begin to ice up which increases the earths reflective coefficient further causing increasing polar icing in a regenerative feedback loop until the ice reaches the equator and the Earth becomes ice-locked for a few hundred thousand years.

That any humans survived the ice-age(s) is pretty remarkable really.

AGW is far stronger then that subtle slow change, and it is a much more sudden change than anything the earth has seen since the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs. It's the rate of change that is the big problem along with deaths from heat waves, droughts, flooding etc .
