Guy outsourced his own job to China...

I worked in a weird department of an aerospace firm. They had a Navy contract that needed, at most, 2 engineers and a tech, but the contract specified 30 engineers.. so the company used that department as a dumping ground for malcontents and crazies.. One of the engineers had a fulltime job across the street and a pal that would page him when he had to go to a meeting at the looney bin..
 
Too bad consultants "Bob and Bob" weren't the ones to catch this, as this guy would have been promoted rather than let go. People should really ponder the implications of these sorts of shenanigans with regards to their future quality of life as a white collar service worker here in the U.S.

I suspect when it gets too bad we'll see French/Italian-esque labor barriers start to go up, and frankly I'm surprised it hasn't happened already. That fact really lowers my opinion of my fellow Americans, even if I am staunchly anti-socialist...

I fully expect continued decimation of our middle-class and a reversion to world-wide historical wealth strata, but I expected to at least see my fellow citizens *attempt* to stop the bleeding.

Yes, the "Bobs" would have been very impressed. What was the name of that movie anyway? I immediately thought of it when I read the article.

yes, especially when they went out in the field and destroyed the copy machine

not to mention when Jennifer Anniston (who was still cool back then) wasn't wearing enough "flare."

I liked it when the guy next door who could hear through the walls said, "Go for it!"
 
This is old news. The Onion covered this trend a couple of years ago:

I don't know, the original article sounds a lot like the onion's report, even down to the article guy watches cat videos, the onion guy is watching a puppy dog video.
