Gee..I wonder why? Let's focus on single shooters and ignore the rest of the problem (which is the majority of it). That's the logic of the left at work!

They're not buying guns because of inner city violence, which is far away for 99.9% of the population.
And "more guns" isn't going to solve inner city violence, either. All the growing pool of legally possessed firearms is going to do is leak more to the illegal or undesired pool of gun possession.
I didn't mean to imply people were buying more weapons because of inner city violence. They are buying more weapons because they fear gun control. The second part of my comment was meant to draw the focus on the media's inattention on real gun violence - violence that happens every single day - in lieu of the circus attention it gives when a lone gunman decides to commit an act of violence.
That's too common, it won't sell "papers". Besides, people have been discussing the causes and solutions of that violence for decades and have reached no agreement.
If the same energy went into those problems as is being put to "more gun control" (which will have no effect on the majority of the violence) you might be surprised at what could be accomplished.
let's phase it out slowly, harder for those with criminal intention. Less law abiding citizens feel the need THAT protection.

Are you asking if those of us who have guns would be willing to give them up if you could somehow magically remove all the illegal guns the bad guys have? Sure, I might consider that.
