Gun sales at record levels

Quote from Eddiefl:

Bob with all due respect, whenever i see this argument. When the rubber meets the road what exactly do you think a john q. public can do with a .45glock if the cops or military wanted to get to you. ...you grab your gun, flash bomb, through your window, door kicked in, 5 guys with black boots and laser MP5 in your face before you can say two words.

Our biggest "weapon" for change is to vote, to get o-dummy out of there and get someone that knows what they are doing.

It makes me chuckle whenever i hear, a "citizen" arming themselves against the govt... most cant outshoot a patrol man with a .38, much less special ops or God forbid CIA blackops.

Dont kid yourself.. if they wanted to "harm" you, there would be nothing you could do.

Quote from Mvector:

When President Barack Obama took the oath of office on Jan. 20, 2009, the total federal debt held by the public stood at 6.3073 trillion, according to the Bureau of the Public Debt, a division of the U.S. Treasury Department. As of Aug. 20, 2010, after the first nineteen months of President Obama’s 48-month term, the total federal debt held by the public had grown to a total of $8.8333 trillion, an increase of $2.5260 trillion.

US debt should be pushing 15 Trillion plus when obama is out in another year - this does not include the trillions in federal reserve created debt that we are backing as US Taxpayers - my $10 Trillion dollar number is plenty good enough.

The total national debt was over 10.6 trillion the day Obama took office and for most of 2009 the goverment was operating under Bushs last budget.Nice spin trying to leave out Intragovernmental Holdings debt

Why not revive high noon shootouts on main street ?
I never understood why dueling was banned myself. Whats wrong with two consenting adults working out there differences, so long as bystanders are relatively safe.

And the ignorant sheeple chanted: "Hope and change...hope and change..."

Your argument IS true when considering a single individual or small group.

However when considering a very large group of armed citizens - not so much.

Remember the American Revolutionary War?

I know you're not bright enough to figure it out but if the British had the same weapon technology that our goverment currently has Washington and his army would have gotten their asses handed to them

Stay in your fantasy world where you think 9 mm's,shotguns and semiautomatic rifles are going to overthrow the US goverment

Quote from Covertibility:

Not the greatest of recordings but the singing of this, perhaps, Kenyan, getting a shotgun and killing all the whitey he sees may have stirred up the crazies to buy more guns.

Maybe they just went to the mall one day and got a glimpse of what society is becoming.

Lucrum with all due respect, you must be kidding........

I hope you are not considering, even 100 cubicle jokeys/weekend warriors with shotguns and 9mm's would even put up a battle to a 20 man Delta Force, green beret or seal team, it will be over before lunch time.

Revolutionary war, bad example. ,, techonology was on par.

It is not like that nowadays. Can you get your hands on a .50cal Barret Sniper rifle which can hit you 1mile away, can you get your hands on M60 or MP5 fully auto???GRenades, claymore, Shoulder fired rockets etc...??

Forget the tanks, apache choppers, amphibious assualt ships, night vision, GPS etc.. Really it wont even go that far.

Really, its not even a possible scenario. You would have a bunch of overwieght desk jokeys in thier tight Khaki dress pants blown to bits quickly.
