Think of it this way WHAT IF 50 people there were packing heat, still have to decide who are the bad guys. They'd be shooting each other:eek:

If everybody or lots of people carried, Islamic murders might think.... "If I brandish my weapon, I might get shot to ribbons myself before I can get my thumb off the safety... instead of shooting up this gathering of peaceful civilians, maybe I should go shag a camel or something".

do you trust your LE or not, comes down to that. your probably a big LE kind of guy so why not trust them to respond quickly and appropriately? thats what they are trained extensively for; that's what we PAY them for

sign up in early 20's, retire in early 40's after 20 yrs

There are a lot more people packing heat in places like Mississippi and Texas than 50.

Mississippi is an open carry state.

the point remains the same though, right? in a firefight who is good guy shooter, and which is the bad guy?? bullets are flying, your pissing your pants, a i trust you with a pistol and 30 rounds of ammo, hardest you ever had to deal with is your chair under your desk:D

this is why we have LE, trained and payed!

Oh, that is easy. The guy shooting at women and children, shooting people without guns or the guy pointing a gun at me.

Also, wouldn't be pissing my pants. Starting shooting guns at the age of 5. I have rarely seen a shooter better than me. I would take my chances to protect my family without hesitation.

What if the Martians land?

It is pretty easy to tell who is the bad guy in a situation. If you are incapable of figuring that out in a situation, perhaps you shouldn't leave the house.
