Guess Who’s for a Carbon Tax Now

I have a great idea for solving climate change. We find everyone that believes climate change is real and thinks the government should do something about it, and force those people to live cleaner lives. First we take away their cars that run on fossil fuel. They can still drive, but they have to buy hydrogen powered cars. Then we take away their electricity to their homes if they are in an area that is powered by coal plants. We also make them go vegetarian because cows produce 9% of all carbon emissions. Also, they are only allowed to buy locally made goods. Anything that was shipped by cargo ship or by a fossil fuel burning car, they can't buy it.

So everyone that believes climate change is real, gets to do something about it, and everyone that doesn't get's to keep living their lives. Because about half the people believe climate change is man made, the rule will affect about 50% of the people and will cut carbon emissions in half, so even if climate change is real, it still gets solved.

Win/win for everyone

Try reading the article. All taxes would be returned to the citizens. No it's not an economy wrecker. Period. The Koch bros thank you for being ignorant and deluded that way though.
"All taxes would be returned to citizens."

Blahahahhahahahahaha. That was a good one.

Do you believe in the tooth fairy?

The people who use the most carbon should pay the ones that don't. Half the people should pay the other half's electric bill. Want to lower your electric bill? Just use less. Like less than the top 50%. Socialism can be a useful tool in the hands of a capitalist.

“If Trump does not go down the path of a carbon tax, we should not lose our resolve. We should stick to our values as Canadians to do something to protect the environment.” — Michael Crothers, Canada, November, 2016

“Climate change is happening. We think a broad-based carbon price is the right answer.” — Steve Williams, Canada, May, 2015

“Carbon pricing systems encourage the quickest and most efficient ways of reducing emissions widely.” — Ben van Beurden, the Netherlands, October, 2015

“A global carbon price would help to unleash market forces and provide the right incentives for everyone to play their part. History has shown the power of market forces in making economies less energy intensive as people have found more efficient ways to use energy.” — Bob Dudley, Britain, February, 2015

When you see commercials from Sun, or Exon advertising about how they are deeply invested in green energy, it must get you super excited.......

LOL

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, i wonder why oil companies always advertise about how "green" they are as opposed to just doing a flyover of the picture below in all of their commercials........ :D

Looks bad, but that's all organic down there.

LOL, truth be told it looks pretty damn ugly in the tar sands while they are still taking oil out of the ground, but there is a pretty big process when they are done with lots of regulation to return the land to where it will eventually look normal again in a couple decades when they are done. My ex worked for a reclamation firm, and some of the before and after pics are pretty astonishing.

All the dirt ends up on the bottom and the heavy rocks on the top, and nothing would grow under that circumstance, but they have to flip the rocks back underneath the dirt, in order for forrestry to grow back, most places on the Tarsands you wouldnt even be able to tell they were there 10-20 years out, but it looks like the pits of hell while they are still mining. :D

:wtf: Either you're super naive or a complete sucker. In fact the latest Webster edition probably has your picture in it, there sitting on swamp land in Florida…LOL…:D
And Koch:vomit: will say anything to line his pockets. What's next? You believe in the easter bunny?

And you are obviously an idiot. If that is how the law is written it is how will happen. Delusional cynics like you are very common among the moron Trumpers. Do you currently get a tax refund? Do they take all your money illegally? You're a moron.
