Guess Who Gets 17 Days Off For Christmas

Quote from Spiker:

You are not all there.....luke, pilots spend many many hours in the air. Explain how you found time to log on to ET for the last 9 years @ 5 posts a day whilst in the cocpit . .
First, it's cockpit not cocpit.

Second, even most airline pilots only fly 80 - 100 hours a month. I fly about 10 hours a month. That leaves me 720 hours a month free time.

Then of course internet access is increasingly more available inflight.

Have I mentioned today you're a moron?

Most pilots transport passengers and cargo, but about one in five is hired to test aircraft, dust crops, spread seeds for reforestation, direct firefighting efforts

By who? Retards like you? LOL

I've been in aviation since 1978, I've NEVER heard the term "dust crop pilot" - EVER.

You made an incredibly stupid accusation about my lacking the balls and ambition to rise to the top of my profession when I'm more or less already there. Whilst you are near the bottom of your profession.

When people think pilot, they don't think of an Air Cabbie, they think of one those guys that fly the big airplanes. You do not fly a 727, 747 or 767, so no you are not at the top of your field.

Maybe in your own little mind, but hey, if that's what gets you thru the night. I have, after having to take a long trip on three planes come to respect a commercial pilot. THEY are the face of the industry, not some local air cabbie:D
