Guess The Gold Bottom... I'm saying 850

No ...but that's a great start. Just have seen this picture too many times. It's never as bad as it seems ...nor as good.

Global flows will dictate a change soon ..if not already. Plus an American regime change may be just the thing to flip it.

Well shall see

Quote from Cutten:

What specifically makes you bullish on the dollar now - anything other than it just being almost universally hated?

When there's no petrol, motor vehicles, firearms, stock exchanges, ATM's, supermarkets or radios or feed in this time and space....you think you'll find a cow?

You Gold Bugs kill me.

Quote from Lobster:

Regarding practicality of gold in an "end of the world as we know it" scenario: When there were no motor vehicles, firearms, stock exchanges, ATMs, supermarkets, radios etc etc, a gold coin would buy a cow. After the invention of firearms, a gold coin still bought a cow. After the invention of motor vehicles, a gold coin still bought a cow.

Quote from ES Master:

FED will cut to 2.0. This will send the dollar weaker, yet again, against the 6 major currency pairs and thus Gold will appreciate.

Fed cutting to 1.75 is a given, and is priced in.

This thread reminds me of the Twilight Zone episode where the gang stole a ton of Gold bars and went into suspended animation to hide out for 100 years. When they woke up they started killing each other for the gold. In the end there was one guy left crawling across the desert with just one gold bar. A rescuer comes by as the guy is near death. The guy offers the rescuer his gold bar for a drink of water and then he dies. The rescuer looks confused.....it's 100 years in the future.......he turns to his wife and says "he offered me THIS (gold bar) for a drink of water". The wife says "what is it?"
The guy says I'm not sure, but I think it used to be worth something.

I couldn't find it on youtube. :p

Alright... I consider gold right now to be at a turning point, either sharply up or sharply down. Where do you guys see it going?

there's no rational argument that you can offer to a gold bug. So why bother to worry about them.

They were late to the party in early '02 and now they're over saying their welcome.
