I just thought I would mention this for the record...

Except for the issue of accuracy, I really don't care what you people think...but

I am a retired professional. I used to manage money..I still trade futures. I do not trade equities. I do not trade bonds ( I own physicals).

I have used Sypdertrader's method to trade equities, just to see if it would work..It worked. If I had wanted to make a living with it, I am confident that I could..

I have used Jack's method for futures, again just to see what it would do. It worked. I found it challenging however to keep my focus "continuously" when trading...if there is any criticism of it, that would be my comment...

You see, you folks are amateurs and for the most part you folks have trouble concentrating for 5 minutes without having your attention drift :D

Today I trade several days a week, whenever I want to make some extra spending money. I still use some of the concepts from Jack's system as they improved my performance by about 50% which to me is quite significant...

In my opinion, it is often the case, that posters who have negative things to say about Jack's system or Spydertrader's system are people who would not be able to make consistent money with ANY system...because they just don't have what it takes..It becomes a kind of "sour grapes" statement by people who just don't have an aptitude for this profession and are unwilling to come to grips with the facts.

Thanks.
Steve

What kind of returns did u get for equities and futures?

The Jack Hershey Method for trading futures as described on ET does not work.

We showed you Easyrider's P&L, sub SCT-level (ie. Rockets). So why don't you prove that it doesn't work... This is the same nonsense that goes around and around over and over again. Perhaps one day the opposing camp will realize that proving something can never be done by someone else and can only be done by oneself.

Spyder has said in an earlier post that he is not trading the futures method completely as taught by Hershey.

The Jack Hershey Method for trading futures as described on ET does not work.

Thank you.

Here is your screwup. The hershey method isn't about rules. It's about stages of success. SCT is the final level of success. Easyrider's trading (ie. Rockets) is the first level of success. You know you are successful when you look at your P&L with respect to your initial P&L. I call it, the "bread & butter" stage. Any dummy can follow rules, but the road to success is experiencing the success by "DOING IT" and thus being wired for it. Grob's approach is not about the rules but about how you mentally deal with and get from one level to the next. In other words, your brain has to get wired/programmed for success. It does not happen immediately. It is exactly the same as child learning to walk. Even before crawling, a child learns muscle control which THEN enables the child to balance his head. Then the child is able to sit up and acquire muscle control to maintain balance of their upper torsol. Then the child coordinates its limbs to crawl, stand, walk, run... Why does this process take time? The answer is VERY SIMPLE. The brain has to be wired successively. Each subsequent stage depends on skills that were developed in a previous stage.... Equities->Rockets->Icebergs (I..IV)->SCT->Multi-Threaded SCT...

Steve, in another post you stated you don't understand the writings of the eccentric Kool Aid King ( KAK ) and therefore never made an effort to follow up on his ideas. Yet here you are stating that you trade his ideas?! Would you post the links to the KAK writings you found useful. :D

Maybe someone who does understand the methodology gave him a phone call and explained it to him.

So in short Steve is caught lying again. He Doesn't trade Kool Aid Kings system, he trades your filtered and massaged system which for all we know is nothing like what Kool Aid King preaches ( since no one but you seems to understand his gibbrish)

Quote from Spydertrader:

I have traded the Hershey Equities System (or variant there of) full-time (as my only source of income) for well over two years now. I know others who do the same.

- Spydertrader

In short, based on your admission you do not trade Kool Aid Kings system. You trade something entirely different which you've developed yourself over time using Kool Aid Kings gibbrish as some sort of "road map".

In fact it seems most everyone who purports to trade Kool Aid Kings "system" eventually comes out and states he trades a "version of it". Which is proof enough that the system by itself is as much gibbrish as his writings.

Thanks,

Yes Spyder, as you know, what little of Jack's system I do understand, I learned by reading your "translation" in the English (my native tongue).

BSMaster:

As usual the BS part of your handle is active, but out of whack..unlike you, I work at understanding concepts, I don't give up, I try to mine the gold wherever I can find it. I am pretty sure that is why I continue to improve, while you on the other hand seem to be perpetually stuck in the "S".........

Hey Mak, hows it going?

Steve

For new traders enthralled with Kool Aid Kings rants, I'll make an effort to point you in the correct direction.

Go dig up everything you can on Wyckoff. KAK thinks he's "discovered" something new. Go to the original source of his gibberish and don't waste your time with his Kool Aid. Anyone who states he can take out 3 X the average daily range in any of the futures markets is a liar ( of course now he'll come back and state he trades 10 contracts for 1/3 of the daily range giving him his purported "3 x daily range" !! ) :D
