lescor, could you comment on the Software you are using? I understand that you are using Sterling as your main platform. Are you using any backup platform? Through what platform do you submit baskets for the open? Are you using any special Basket platform/addons besides what comes with Sterling?
about the morning auto system: is it a custom-made API linked to Sterling? do you submit OPG orders manually via excel spreadsheets while API deals with exits?
Well done lescor. Anyone who makes a consistent profit over BAH is doing well. I generally trade pairs and am doing OK but have never had the account size to trade as big as you.
However, my main income comes from betting on Betfair using totally automatic algorithms and must say that automating your trading is a lot less strain emotionally than making conscious decisions every time.
BTW, has anyone here used StockFetcher to trade using either mean reversion or gap filling techniques ? If so how have they found it ?

there is a screen showing statistics from the same author. but its % of days in last 100 days it close b/w open and close....

so you pretty much get good candidates, but need to apply them to the stats. it could have closed 9:30:30, or 3:59 PM, etc...
(stockfetcher doesnt deal with intraday data.)

Yes, one of the downsides of StockFetcher is that it doesnt handle intraday data but the concept looks good and its a lot cheaper than saddling yourself with TS, AIQ or similar apps and data feeds.

I actually tried out tradestation with intraday data trying to use statistics, but the problem was the opening print... often erroneous prints go off right at the open far away from where the stock actualy begins trading, skewing statistics, and making them unreliable..
And since TS uses charts for data, you cant filter out these prints..
So until they allow second charts or perhaps a 30 second vwap, to customize your own "open" it kind of is useless..
Thanks for that. I'm trying out Prorealtime.com as it looks quite good. Just trying to encapsulate geez's patterns into some sort of indicators so I can be aware of when one of them is being formed with one of my stocks.
But there's a lot to doing all this manually by eye as your eye can detect things which are very difficult to put into any pattern recognition software.
