Grinding it out, day after day

Hi lescor, quick question. Im not sure if you use stops or not but ive had an issue were the market moves past stops and wanted to see how a more experience veteran would approach the situation. If that happens would you exit the position at the market or place another stop limit order below the stop loss order that didnt get activiated? thanks
 
I only use hard stops for swing trades. I haven't had any issues with the market trading through my stop and it not executing. If it was a legitimate move and my order should have been triggered, I guess I'd exit manually and find out what went wrong.

No reason, I probably just wasn't at my desk and missed some of the better moves. It's very rare that i am at my desk non-stop from open till close.

Do you always close day positions you have opened earlier in the morning if you leave but intend to return later. If no, then what about meltdowns like 05/06 etc? Thanks.

My typical day goes like this:

Up at 5:30 to 6:00
make coffee, do burpees
pre-market prep till the open at 7:30
7:30 to 8:30 trade a lot, put on lots of positions
eat, chat with the wife, read newspaper
check on positions
waste time on various websites, including this one, keep half an eye on the market, take trades here and there
workout
lunch
afternoon delight
take dirt bike to the track and burn a bunch of laps
come home, check positions, record stats, catch up on secret ATS chat room, count money

Not lazy dude, just not tied to the screen
