April 8 (Bloomberg) -- Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said the current credit crisis is the worst in at least half a century.

Greenspan, who retired in 2006 after 18 years as the U.S. central-bank chief, was speaking at a conference in Tokyo today via satellite from Washington.
