cant wait for our British referendum so we can exit the POS called the European Union. They are worried about greece leaving, and admittedly it is in the eurozone, whereas we are not...however the UK is the 2nd biggest economy in europe whilst greece is 2% lol...you would think they might be a little more worried if the UK left!

I predict similar vote as in Scotland. Almost 50/50, but majority will be in favour of staying in EU. There will be a huge campaign by the elite to stay in EU IMHO.

Is this a step towards actually creating a United States of Europe??

Has Greece borrowed it's way into being owned by its creditors?

I think that Greece must either default and go it alone or give up its ability in perpetuity to make its own decisions.

I personally would like to see Greece remain Greece.

I hope the result will be anti Europe. Europe is complete corruption, corruption that can even compete with Russian corruption.

Farmers represent 2,36% of the EU population but receive 43% of the EU budget. Farmers maffia in Europe is very powerful.

The EU parliament meets in Brussels and 4 times every month in Strasbourg.
This costs for the EU taxpayers every year 114 million euro in travel expenses.
On top of that the construction of the building in Strasbourg costed 616 million euro, also taxpayer's money.
6 big trucks have to move 3700 metal boxes with documents between Brussels and Strasbourg every month.
France does not want to give up Strasbourg, so the EU taxpayers pay the bill.

For the taxpayers: taxes here, taxes there, taxes everywhere.
For the EU parliamentarians: money here, money there, money everywhere.

There must be some of the pros from EU. "you would think they might be a little more worried if the UK left!" that would be the end for them I suppose.
 
A bit of normality has arisen within the Greek situation amongst the possibility of a future election, with markets benefiting but largely sanguine. Meanwhile, in the short-term, Merkel remains adamant on no Greek haircut, but may consider debt relief.
