Greece agrees €24bn austerity package

Another Socialist government bankrupts the country it was elected to serve. Also Brown has very nearly done Britain in with their left wing nonsense.

The Left are too hopeless with their 19th century philosophical nonsense

The Right are dominated by greedy pigs coining it in for themselves

Lets hope there are some honest competent people who will surface soon and pull all these failing economies out of the shit. A domino effect could really collapse the world economy.

Rioting is hardly the answer. Just more expense and bloodshed.

I don't see the politicians taking a 10% pay cut or are they classified as public servants ?

Quote from number22:

I doubt the Greece can organize a decent riots, they are too lazy and stupid to do anything properly.

Look at Thailand and Kyrgyzstan, there are some serious demonstrations. LOL

have you not been watching the news.

I know a lot of Greek people and every one I can think of is intelligent and industrious. In fact, a Greek nurse who worked for me was the hardest working and most productive employee I can ever recall.

Too bad ET does not ban bigots like you. Or maybe they do--I will try the complain button. Maybe other people will try that, too.

At least I can put you on ignore along with fkbsuhites.

what does being noble have to do with the euro? Europe has lived beyond its means inc. to some degree Germany.
Everyone has lived beyond their means, to an extent. If you look at the condition of the Eurozone, relative to that of the US or the UK, it actually doesn't look that bad. At any rate, noble has everything to do with it. In my view, the EMU/Eurozone is an idea that is worth bailing out and preserving, even though the costs will be high.

Best of all, the rioters can get all their rioting in during their 4 hour lunch break. :D

Is that before or after their 2 hour siesta ?

A Greek woman, aged 45, once working as an government employee, now retired - complained she had to forbear cuts in her 2000 EUR "government pension". Asked about why she retired at the age of 45, she wasn't able to give a staright answer. Certainly an extreme example, but showing the mindset of how people "feel"...
