You only need to know so much, or so little, as a trader...beyond the basics, everything else just feels like spam or nonsense noise,
I personally don't read or follow any news or financial news websites.
I like to say that trading is very complex, But also very simple.
Trading is like flirting or dating a woman...you have to understand her different and weird personality traits or quirks and expectations. -- But it's also like talking to a scientist or engineer at the same time.
