Profits And Baby Formula – Our pal, Rich Yamarone, over at Bloomberg picked up an eye-opening statement made by the Wal-Mart CEO last week:

"I don't need to tell you that our customer remains challenged…You need not go farther than one of our stores on midnight at the end of the month. And it's real interesting to watch, about 11 p.m. customers start to come in and shop, fill their grocery basket with basic items – baby formula, milk, bread, eggs – and continue to shop and mill about the store until midnight when government electronic benefits cards get activated, and then the checkout starts and occurs. And our sales for those first few hours on the first of the month are substantially and significantly higher."

I couldn't imagine how much business they'd get if our recession hadn't ended over a year ago!

Funny Walmart is the greatest engine that led to a mass exodus of work sent to china. And now the CEO is waiting for his customers to get their government subsides since they got outsourced out private work.

What is ironic is that all that all that work that was shipped to china so that americans could save a few bucks on products, yet if you look at walmart customers, they look poorer & more miserable than the chinese people working in the factories for 65 cents per hour. I thought we are supposed to save money and live better by shopping at walmart. That doesnt seem to be the case when looking at the people of walmart website.

hence the need for tariffs and support for targeted industries instead of income taxes. We need to put america back to work.

It was great to give China and economy but we can't let them manipulate their currency and win any longer.
