How could analysts been so wrong on amazon eps

Is it me or do analysts low ball eps estimates on every company out there, it seems these companies are beating estimates by a wide margin!!?

EPS: $3.27 per share vs $1.26 per share, as estimated, according to Thomson Reuters

Reminds me of 1998-1999. Relaxed accounting standards.

Dow futures off while Nasdaq futures up....could just imagine what the downside would have been if amazon missed!!!

Let's see if the Nasdaq can pull the Dow into the green or does the Nasdaq give up all gains and follow the Dow lower????
