Oh you mean like Nov 2017 - Jan 2018 when guys just closed their eyes bought the market and never put in protective stops? Those good times?
I think so
It's one of the difficulties of these markets in recent years. Volatility tends to come in short bursts then disappear for awhile, then reappear when everyone has herded into the opposite camp. (See the VIX positioning thread posted on here today). Now that everyone is banking on that going much higher, it's drifted down for a few days straight and markets have lost a bit of the craziness.

I sure hope you are right Overnight! Since Feb on the up days I've been edging hedges slowly. So I'm pretty darned prepared for some more down days - bring them on! Any idea when you expect the doldrums to pass and maybe swings towards that third bottom? I'll take even a guess!
Hahaha, I now know, if I ever see stocks going crazy, but then even after they go crazy the then they go PARABOLIC crazy, hedge, hedge hedge like a mofo!
I am ferklemt. I just finished watching the Showtime special about the old radio station WLIR in NY. 92.7 FM. Unbelievable blast from the past. I am totally stunned, and cannot even think at this point in time.
To your end-of-swing question, I am hoping it will be beginning of August. *shrugs* Remember, I know nothing!
