I used to stick to a particular % gain per day, I used to aim to make around 3%, if I was down on the day and got back to BE I'd stop at 1% gain. Anything close to 3% and I was done. Didnt get back to my desk till the following day. Go for a walk or to the gym. (Used to trade FX more then)

Then increase the numbers and stick to your rules religiously... If you can't help yourself no one can help you!

You are not missing out... you've gotten your piece of the pie for the day... let the rest pick up the crumbs.

Smart. Did you have firm loss-limits too? (Where you'd lose a certain amount and shut it down for the day no matter what)

Yeah it is insane how you can feel bad for making 5% on your account. My biggest issue is just that I get too emotional and lose my rules. Gotta learn to recognize when its happening and just stop.

Havent heard that in a long while, gave me chills, thanks man.

Made another 1%. Up 6.7% for the day now, I really have to call it and relax now. There will be plenty of opportunities tomorrow.
