That was the big mistake of today. When i realised it was not going to hit 25k or anywhere near it, i should have sensed a shorting opportunity.

What happened was that I came in long from overnight expecting a new record high. When the cash market opened, i was stopped out with a small profit. Instead of realising the trend was gonna be down and going short, i tried to find low risk points where it might rally. Very dumb, cost me loads of money in that I could have made a small fortune in going with the trend and shorting the crap out of it.
