Longest bull market lasted about 9 1/2 years...this one is 8 years old, up over 250% since 2009....how much more do you want to keep squeezing out of this market, I'm sure the fed will save it once again if it dips 3 or 4% ...

Also the move from 1987 to 2000 lasted almost 13 years and went up almost 600%.

Based on that, this market could easily double over the next 5 years

40000 DOW in 2022 would only be 4 times higher than where it was in 1999.

As buffet recently said, market looks cheap at current levels.
 
This is amusing. I really, really, really wonder what if the job report was sour today if tweets would have been announced from the press secretary...aside from that lets see what they tweet on the next big jobs miss because according to some these unemployment numbers are just made up out of thin air!


White House press secretary Sean Spicer tweeted: "Great news for American workers: economy added 235,000 new jobs, unemployment rate drops to 4.7 percent in first report for @POTUS Trump."

But Trump spoke very differently about the jobs numbers in past years.

After the New Hampshire primary last year, Trump said: "Don't believe those phony numbers when you hear 4.9 and 5 percent unemployment. The number's probably 28, 29, as high as 35. In fact, I even heard recently 42 percent."
 
Monday marks the 104th trading day in a row without a 1% drop for both the Dow and the S&P 500. That's the longest stretch without a significant selloff since September 1993 for the Dow and December 1995 for the S&P, according to LPL Financial.

I think it will be the longest bull market in history.

You quote the years 1993 and 1995, so at that time the bull market still had many years to run!
This is a Bullish indication for what we can expect for the next 5 to 7 years.
