Nothing was implied...My argument was that we haven't been sitting on a 12 VIX for months on end and no 6 point ranges...

Actually he didn't... you need to learn to read as well. All he said was that the range has been 1800-2100. You can infer that someone is catching 100 point moves, but he didn't say this. And since there is 300 points between the high and low, it means the market is moving, which is the complete opposite of what you are saying, that the market isn't moving.
