Thanks, but nothing new here
qe = bad?
rate hike = good?
this market is irrational
I think that there is a decent probability that the Fed will raise in Dec. The Fed had to give enough warning shots until the sell side changed its sales pitch. It went from the Fed raising would be the worst thing possible for equities to presently it is a great thing because it shows the Fed has faith in the economy. I remember seeing sell side guys on CNBC last Fed meeting and they were almost demanding that the Fed raise rates. Of course, I might be completely wrong. We will see. It was interesting to see how the psychology changed WRT a hike.
So you think....
Can you go into any more detail here? Does the type of gyration have something to do with the speed at which it goes from the support to resistance level in a range? (ie. if price bounces hard off of resistance in a range, but when it bounces off of support very mildly and takes it time climbing back up, then breaking out the bottom favors going back up to resistance and breaking out the top?)determine if price will reverse or continue
IMHO this is more orderly sell off, which does suggest that this is just a retracement towards a DB.
Just as Nadeem has been suggesting for years, wait for a DB and go long.
It's non specific though...I agreed with the Nov 15th level...It also coincided with 2020 cash SPX...this last one wasn't quite as clean...
