Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

A caveman can do it trading without a stop, hoping that it will continue going up, but as we know it upside cycles do end and volatility can also wipe out accounts.

True enough...but for those of us around in the crash of 07-08, the upside rips were quicker and "cleaner" than the downside chop...Not that I traded much from the longside back then, but I always felt that it was an easier trade psychologically if one were to simply play it that way and get out without enduring hours/days of "rolling chop" lower that would try and shake one out dozens of times along the way...

In many ways the past month has been similar, just at a fraction of the volatility...so RM has a very valid point, even if it is sarcastic at times.
