Well Ken you have to eat crow this am after your victory dance yesterday.Almost 4400 up 160 off yesterdays lows . I never saw this coming and neither did anyone else . I correctly called the whole planet was bearish and yet we weren’t dropping and we know what that means . Mega sky . The mkt humbles all .
Sammy was unfairly criticized by someone a few days ago (other than Ken) when he had a pretty good sense of the overall market conditions. There is an "art" element to analyzing the market and Sammy was utilizing that skill set. Nice job!
One of the things I like about Ken is that he generally treats everyone on this site fairly well. There is some market stuff that Ken is good at but he also has a tendency to fall into very predictable patterns which make him likely to miss market turning points and the big picture sometimes. I did that a lot for the first part of my career until I came up with ways to more objectively look at the markets. For instance, despite the correction we just went through (which I now think is over for next several weeks), I maintained the bigger picture perspective that nothing was fundamentally wrong with the market -- meaning that the risk of a major sell of wasn't present. By maintaining that view, it helped me focus on buying opportunities, not trying to short this.
In any event, being really good at this isn't easy. After years of doing this, I'm still making minor improvements in how I approach the markets and execute but fortunately now I have an overall framework to view the markets to help avoid missing the big picture.

You might have seen a rally but you surely didn’t see 4400 in less than 24 hrs.I correctly called the resistance to falling with such bad news for so long and what it almost means .It means there allowing too many people to stack shorts and they’ll be squeezed.
I did say we'll see the mother of all reversals as soon as the debt ceiling is raised for the 100th time. Seems like the rumor was bought as the talks on that allegedly have had progress...
100 + point rallies in 24 hours is in the ballpark of what we've seen multiple of only these last 4 months, so not really something we haven't seen already.
Decent retracement, weak Mitch McConnel will not get re-elected. This debt ceiling stuff is such a joke. The perfect Ponzi scheme. I told my wife I needed to reply on this website that my trade didn't work out as planned. She asked why, did I charge them for my advice, I said absolutely not. She said I owe them nothing...I agree.
LOLOne thing's become obvious re trading the last few months, nothing is obvious.
